'With written job applications ALWAYS get someone else to read it before you send it off. They'll spot silly errors in grammar and spelling that you might have missed. And don't rely on a spellchecker. They often have errors or are written in American English. Buy a small dictionary and keep it next to the computer. Don't put your entire life history in your CV. Think about what's most relevant to the person who's going to read it.'
